“My philosophy is to maximize conservative treatment options and only perform surgery when I feel like it will result in a positive outcome.”

About Dr. Elliott

Neurological illness can affect all aspects of a patient’s life. I chose to become a Neurosurgeon because it affords me the opportunity to offer definitive treatment options allowing patients to regain their quality of life. My brother was born with spina bifida; seeing the effects it had on him and my own family made me want to make a difference for those who may face similar circumstances.

Neurosurgery is an intense lifestyle, but ultimately it is very rewarding. Most patients come to me because of my experience, my ability to alleviate pain or impede a disease process, my conservative treatment philosophy, my surgical precision and excellent post-surgical outcomes, and for my ability to connect to them as a person and not just a disease or disorder. Having neurosurgery can be physically and emotionally taxing, therefore, I approach every patient with care and compassion. I strive to give my patients an excellent understanding of their problem and use my experience and skill to help them make the best treatment choices to optimize their outcomes. I derive great joy when I see my patients and their families benefit from care that our team is able to provide. My patients find me to be down to earth and personable.

During my free time when not working, I enjoy time with my wife, son, and daughter. We love the beautiful Colorado outdoors, tennis, swimming, and traveling.
