It truly is a miracle provided by the staff at CBSI and Swedish Medical
I went into the surgery hoping for three things: 1) to see primary colors again, 2) be able to wiggle my fingers and toes, and 3) come out with part of the sparkling personality I had worked so hard to develop through the years. It all came true. I could see perfectly when I woke from the surgery, am in full recovery at our home in Kansas and Dr. Vollmer thinks my follow-up will be going to the Denver Stock Show every year and stopping by for a MRI. It truly is a miracle provided by the staff at CBSI and Swedish Medical along with family, friends and staff, and cards, flowers and prayers. [Read the entire story.]

The entire staff at CBSI treated me with such kindness that I was immediately put at ease.
"I had been experiencing facial spasms for 10 years when I began looking for an alternative to botox treatments. My neurologist, Dr. Bennett Mechanic, referred me to Dr. Elliott of Colorado Brain and Spine Institute, who he described as the "best of the best". During my appointment with Dr. Elliott, he was very kind to me and explained the procedure in great detail giving me the confidence to undergo treatment. The prospect of having brain surgery is scary and yet the entire staff at CBSI treated me with such kindness that I was immediately put at ease. The surgery was a success and I'm doing great!" I used to focus on ‘Why me? But then I realized I’ve gained far more than I lost.

Again facing near-death, Lisa recovered with Jerry by her side and was placed on a blood thinner. She required in-home physical therapy for complications, including painful neuropathy in her right foot. [Read the story.]
I could not have asked for a surgeon that had such wonderful qualities besides saving [my husband’s] life…taking time with us and making us feel he is as important as family – this is not learned in medical school…Not only [is he] talented but such a nice and caring person…[he has] been given a gift.
"Fabulous! I experienced no pain in the hospital and began driving the day after rehab ended! I now have complete mobility."
